Desert Rose by Joy SyDesert Rose on my lips
Scent of herbal concoctions on my clothes
Skin's textures, smooth & rough
Minute mixtures, I crave to touch
Tracing patterns, skin on skin
Hurried gasps, transported, and then
Faces unguarded, slow breathing, out and in
Streaks of color replace the darkness
Eyes open, inch by inch
Alone, yet again
Another dream ends

Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 08/14/06 at 04:34 AM i am so moved. astonishing, how much is said in so few lines. you very effectively bring to life this moment with sound and erotic touch and just right rhythm, breathing out and in.you tug at the heart of this reader, and i imagine this will resonate deeply with many others. a new favorite. a classic for all time. POTD, for sure! |
