Little Man by Charles M HarrisonWhat ya doin daddy; a little voice ask's me
most often, when I'm quite busy.
Something; I reply to my little man.
oh; he says as if he can understand.
Want see puppy; the little voice does entreat.
if I don't reply it's sure to repeat.
Eat, eat daddy; and he doesn't mean later,
he goes to get something from the refrigerator.
Whatever happened to that little boy,
who lay in a crib and played with a toy?
Mommy, mommy, baby cry!
he tugs at her arm as she passes by.
See baby; he says with a smile.
Hugging and kissing her all the while.
I love you more; he then gives a laugh
for my and his mothers behalf.
Night, night daddy; says my son.
night, night my little beloved one. 02/01/1993
