Junk Yard Alley by Charles M HarrisonThe presses all are messes
they really are quite old.
They should all be junked,
I don't think they could be sold.
Although way past their prime
we still make them run.
But I must say, caring for them
is not a lot of fun.
This one quakes, that one rattles,
another one rocks and rolls.
I tell you I'm glad they are not people,
and that they don't have souls.
We call them all junk yard alley
and here they try their best.
But if they all could speak
they would say, please give us a rest! 10/01/1989
Author's Note: Another old one. I worked in a plant that made plastic parts. All the old machines were kept in one area Called Junk Yard Alley.
