The Merging of the Night and the Day

by Joseff Marat

The taste of olive skin
a silk
woven on the banks of the Nile

I sip the deepest coffee
a reflection
into the boundless black energy

A harvest under the summoners moon
a love
the soft rain brings the first light fog

In the mist I search for patterns,
signs
yet, not the sun can pierce the dense condensation

I look behind me; the way is gone
the merging of the night and day is done

And comes another night
a viscious beast
anxiety in desire's form
