In the Park

by Izzy Koranda

As we laid in the park
Amidst the flowers
And the grass

I finally felt complete
As the soft caress
Of the grass
Of her hand
Touched my skin
Tickling every nerve with delight

I finally felt whole
As her lips
Became my lips
My skin
Became her skin

I finally felt at peace
When her vows
Became my vows
When her life
Became my life

I at last felt the end
When her knife
Became my knife
Her blood
Became my blood

As we laid in the park
Amidst the flowers
And the grass
I finally felt complete.

A little gruesome at the end...don't even want to know what the photo depicted. However, the poem is beautiful and, except for the creepy death scene, really drew me in.
