I am tired and half awake.
The sun is high above the trees
And yet some more I wish to sleep.
Why am I always so tired?

I can sleep twelve hours at a time.
I am tired and half awake
When after them I awaken.
Maybe I am depressed again.

When after a long sleep I wake
My body feels bruised and still tired.
I am tired and half awake.
Perhaps I should see my doctor.

The doctor told me to take pills.
I take them every couple hours.
I think there is something wrong 'cause
I am tired and half awake.
