rain hurries drying

by Charlie Morgan

mine and their past held in
a future expected.

itÂ’ll be just around
the next corner,
just past the dewed street light.
on down through the innards
of societyÂ’s bent backbone.

i flow as fluid, an ear;
a conduit of lifeblood:
affirmation to the pained
and hurting peuple universe.

an agreement that
yes! You are part
of the sound and fury
licking with a professional
tongue the wounds of genes,
of lashes unpleasant
and freely given
as any other graces.

fix this; fix that
put all the numbers
in a hat.

draw one, draw two.
one of the many will fit,
yet the labor of discomfort
drains me of timeÂ’s ticking
and the heat from their
dismay disarms me
as i watch faith zoom away
from me at a pace
set by PegasusÂ’ gait.

it’ll be just around the next corner, Hope reigns supreme. Great write! Very thought provoking.
