When One Questions

Sometimes
as life takes you off
on the path that it follows
it leaves no choice of
direction
no right way
no wrong way
only that path chosen
and that which is
passed by.
But every path
no matter the
choice
is full of all the things
that one
must do
all the great
and the little things
that must be done
And on the chosen path
these things must be done
by you because
you are the only one there
and no one else
And there really is no other way.
The Path holds no more fear
than it holds in promise.
It is not of importance
that we lived our lives
and failed.
What is important
is that we lived our lives
and did our very best.
