Tanka - Ink Spill

by Julie Adams

She weeps in love–
making, afraid of the end
to come; night’'s ink spills
as dawn lifts her swords

this is absolutely beautiful. the form itself gave the poem even more meaning for me. especially the double meaning i read because of the break at the end of the second line. lovely.

This is really beautiful and so filled with different meanings. Some great imagery also. Excellent!
