Frosted Views

by A. Paige White

snowy grayish horizon giving way to
blues and pinks and lavenders
tendrils of changing light smile
blowing in the Spirit Winds
glowing in the lightening day
flowing through my soul
softly caressing white fences
tall stark trees stand guard

dis ta da na da
Na Na?
the most pleasing cologne on the earth
fragrances of warm, sleepy, baby hair
sitting up on a hasty pallet
big blue eyes
rubbing dreams away
precious little arms reaching
precious little eyes loving
precious little mouth yawning
little birds feeding outside many windows
coffee pot gurgling
cows gently lowing under the shed of a red barn
miniature horses frollicking, kicking
living carousel, circling, nipping.
Gentle hand of God
reaching down
reaching out
reaching up
Na Na?
My cup is overflowing
gushing, splashing on everything.
Tears of joy welling
melting the fear
defrosting inside the windowed glasses.
Now, big blue eyes times two view
a renewed, fearless, frosted world.

Author's Note:
Some moments can't be captured with words. It was a moment of the purest love imaginable, a little precious baby, sleepily stretching awake with God's love as visible a signature as any I've ever seen... How he loves us. (His spirit whispered to me... His favorite perfume is warm sleepy baby hair... I had to agree)
