Food for the family of a striking man by Dave FitzgeraldWhen I got home
I asked of my Mam,
"What's for tea?
Is it beef or lamb?"
She said,"You've the choice
of bread and iffit,
or if you prefer,
There's sugar and shit"
I went for the former,
The choice wasn't tough,
I knew for a fact
we were out of sweet stuff. 07/22/2006
Author's Note: Ah 70's Britain was the place to live lol, iffit by the way is- If it's there you can have it.

Excellent write. |
