Tragedy
by Steven Craig
She was just a girl who passed by.
Though she walked alone,
I walked beside her, our arms holding
each other with that special meaning
She moved swiftly, as a brisk river.
And though she looked in the opposite window,
She was gazing at me, smiling at me,
And we were happy.
Though she was in the crowd,
We were alone near the rock rimmed ocean,
At dusk, the evening found us in love.
She was just a girl who passed by.
