The Afternoon Litany
by Steven Craig
Where ever there have been rainbows
The clouds have been before it.
One must endure the storm and its fury
To enjoy the harvest of fields made green.
All the dead wood must be cleared
Then the seedlings can sprout and the forest continues.
One must raise ones head, open ones eyes
See the newness that there is about
And relive not again your memories.
