static. Or.... by Jared Fladeland"gimme gimme some inspiration, muses, O muses"
a daffodil sits on a bare desk
placed in the middle a single sheet of paper
words echoing their tales of travel
i scribble with the eraser
destroying any trace of fragile expressions
waterfalls from the ceiling, wooden planks squeezing drops
and the shivers of time pull me forward
i want to exhaust my soul in one single moment
but i chug, chug, chug forward.
hours are easily escaping us when we turn our backs to clocks.
fire burns more when we feed the imp with blood and turnip juice.
inadequacy is when the voice of reason impedes our impulse to live.
run, run, run, run, run, run, run run
and set your soul free.
"gimme gimme some inspiration, muses, O muses"
