agoraphobia

by Jared Fladeland

the splendor captain lights,
like gasoline trip,
like a buzz saw monkey,
killing time for flies.
I bump pump pump like a flourescent mind skull,
i take my water break when i need a little alcohol.

spoonfuls of cocaine,
sugar coated wax sticks,
tumbling like a soapdish,
falling off a camp stall.
thrump thump thump eating pennies from the cookie jar,
choosing children's bedtime is taking nitroglycerine.

communism teddy bears,
fascist rubber duckies.
nazi pony puppet dolls,
pumping our economy.
fighting like a scotsman wounded without a skirt,
I eat a mouth of chocolate bars for the sake of dying young.

I really like the words used here in great combination... my sister is actually agoraphobic... it's not quite so interesting in person.
