Reaching by Junemarie RoldanThe snow is falling from the sky
Its flakes defined and clear
So too, the tears escape my eye
Because you aren't here.
You seem to me so far away
If only I could reach you
And make you stay another day
I'd like so much to teach you.
To say the things you cannot say
To show the hurt inside you
To breach the walls so cold and grey
That hinder you and hide you,
From showing some emotion
And sharing it with me
Your pain is like an ocean
dividing you and me.
You need to reach inside you
And bring them to the open
I'll be right here beside you
And I'm praying as I'm hoping.
That our love will still be there
A remnant of our past
That we can choose, ourselves to share
And finally make love last.

Posted by Joan Serratelli on 07/14/06 at 01:07 PM There is so much longing and hope in this piece- a cry for things to get better and I sincerely hope they do. You poured your heart out. I hope you get what you want! Excellent! |
