blindfolded and foolish


i trusted my instincts


to get me by till tomorrow.





just because there's one step


does not mean there are more.





catching that free-falling sensation


with all the time in the world


for some contemplation,


i find myself praying that


i hit hard enough that


i don't feel stupid afterward.





but just because it's a cliff


does not mean it'll kill you.





so i walk the world today


with scars of stupidity,


the visage that tells all


not to make the same mistakes


that i did once upon a time.
