scooter by Mary Ellen Smithshe scoots along
dragging the toe of her shoe
hardly ever watching where she is going.
her world is beautiful
and the cracks in the sidewalk
don't bother her a bit. 07/08/2006 Posted on 07/08/2006 Copyright © 2024 Mary Ellen Smith

Posted by JD Clay on 07/20/06 at 04:43 PM I can appreciate the simplicity of this fine piece, Mary Ellen. It say exactly what needs to be said by laying the groundwork for the readers venturous mind, while leaving her mother to tend a very sore back. |
