Another Thought Or Two

by Thomas K. Hunt

The day was leaving

Said goodbye to blue

Another memory

Another thought or two

The constellations and the silver moon

Lit up the night

Here in the end of June

Walked out on the evening

Into the summer breeze

Heard it hiss through the leaves

Looked back behind me

Caught a glimpse of what had been

I was smiling

When I turned around again

Raised from the passion

From what it’s meant to be

Feeling the forever

That holds the family

Smiling eyes passed along

Youthful hearts

Healthy and strong

Their coming up behind us

Guided minds from the greatest love

Unique and individual

With permission to rise above

So many treasures lost and found

More seem to appear

With every day that comes around

New life beginning

Captured moments add to firsts

That turn to memories

Especially the births
