This Girl

by Tracy Ellen

Damn this world and the mood of this girl
Damn indecision and uncertainty
All those things I wish to grasp, but cannot see
Damn not knowing if I am coming or going
Damn it because it gives not fate or reason
No quest, no goals, no need to make legion
Damn those who say they know
They know not but where they want to go
Damn those who find the courage to give themselves destiny
They make me hate myself that I am too weak to pay the fee
Damn yesterday, today, and tomorrow
All that inescapable opportunity brings sorrow
Damn this confluence of feelings and their evolution
If there were no reason for them, well, that would be the solution
Damn my own cowardice, is my make of valor or piss
Damn this world of chances staring me in my face
Nothingness would seem a relief to the chaos of this place
Damn my own wishes, whims and wants
They take my strength and leave only taunts
Damn my willingness to keep up this vain fight
And to hell with that final tempting respite
Damn the world and the efforts of this girl.
