Question by Tracy EllenAmbush the senses with free glimpses
of a life not lived or shared or known to exist
Much like twisting your wrist
or pinching your thigh to know youre alive.
Why? Cant you tell?
Doesnt you blood flow, your mind swell?
Do eyes deceive? Do ears mishear?
Its not very clear.
Do these senses make a life?
Is it mind or soul, soul and mind
How will the truth be told?
How will the truth be sold to you?
I havent a clue.
A defense I have, an attack of thought
Upheld by the damage it has wrought
Question!
Not just a word but a fierce bold verb!
Question! Speak! Command!
Trespass careful where they say the snake may lay
and remember, a question can a false truth betray.

| Posted by Jared Fladeland on 07/03/06 at 07:18 PM people SHOULD be curious about the world around them. If they do not question the world, they're simply living and breathing in it. I think the search for truth is the most important search. Unfortunately there is no truth anymore. |
