Adrift among the reefs and shoals
Therein I search for a channel safe
Beyond what knowledge knows
Standing on the edge again
Staring into oblivion
Asking for a solution
that does not yet exist.
There is no answer at hands ready
It is life in steps, how do I take them?
Do I run with the tide, frolic amidst the surf?
Or do I lay upon the warms sands, burning with desire?
To reach beyond you, to a star above the clouds
And pluck it from the heavens, startled at the ease!
Wouldn't it have been easier to have failed in the attempt
Than to have reached out, grasped it ...
And now must shine in its place?
A home I found among the stars, and roads beyond my dreams.
For a moment, eternity stood aside, and the future beckoned me.
I took the path most tall and steep, and followed it to its end.
There, I looked upon the myriad ways ...
and took yet another step.
