Regrettably Yours

by Christopher Shin

A million drops of
frustration slither down
in a pool of my own
thought.

I'm not sad for the
youth that goes by
so carelessly in the
torrid winds of time.

With flames of broken
thoughst gone by as
if they burn important
lies.

When was it last that
I felt regret,
and a friends goodbye?
People burn and blur
with a moments time.

Neither remain nor
tattooed on broken hide.
I have no tears to shead
nor hope to give.

Only suggestions of
wisdom I have heard
once or twice before
my time.
