Trojan Horse

by A. Paige White

Trojan horse inside my gate

Mighty soldiers running free

Setting little fires

Then looking back at me.

Trojan horse inside my gate

His name is Poetry.

Trojan horse inside my gate

Soldiers sprinting in the Son

Waking sleepy dreamers

Pushing them to run

Trojan horse inside my gate

In my defense, I am undone.

Author's Note: I'd written a shocker poem (apparently from the cute response I received) on another poetry group and this was my apology.
Kinda sorta. More of an observation made in a dream.
