juniper

by Peter Humphreys

on
Princes Street
where young
folk meet
a piper
pipes
delight

on
Arthur's Seat
where old
folk meet
the sun
streams
down its light

on
the Mount
you walk
then
pause
and
talk
your breasts
with sweat
point bright

I lean
to
you
you lean
to
me
with
juniper
on
your
breath

Author's Note: For those who know Edinburgh (Scotland), and those who yet do not, this is a short romantic air.

this is incredible! the flow makes it feel almost like a children's rhyme but the imagery takes you deep :)
