Cornelius Ryan: Musician and Contortionist.

by Dave Fitzgerald

Cornelius Ryan
Was a master of his kind.
Played virtuoso fiddle with his toes.
But he was better than we thought
Cos this lesson we were taught
When he played the penny whistle with his nose.

He played The Irish Rover
While he bent back, doubled over
And playing an accordian with his knees.
But it wasn't with his hands
(Cos he was using them to stand)
That he managed t'reach the'cordians many keys.

Author's Note: To the tune of The Irish Rover perhaps?

This is so funny, Dave. It's hard to get the smile of my face now. Wonderful read!
