applies to rich and famous, the greedy ceo’s
the gold digger beauties, the spoiled little brat down the street
but not to me – NO – not to me
i am different
i only want the simple things
IF i had money i would be content… i am content
with everything
but you
and the words you say,
you know, the way you look at me doesn’t match the way you don’t touch me
but you love me too much for that
well, i’m sorry
there’s too much money, too much land, too much stuff for one person
okay, sure
but there’s never too much love
so take that bullshit somewhere else ‘cause i don’t buy it
and don’t cover your fear, shallowness, and cowardice
with heroic attributes like protecting my fragile heart
if i have strength enough to love you
after surviving my life this far
the least you can do
is give it to me straight
say
i love you more than i want to
more than i’m willing
more than i’ll ever tell you
more than i thought I could
or even i don’t love you at all
not that you love me too much
in this world
too much love doesn’t exist
there is never enough
