Substitute by Rebecca LinIt doesn't matter
if you get yellow or purple,
green or blue like the sky.
A pen or pencil,
not even a stencil,
is a good compromise.
When all you want
is a red crayon
to draw a blushing heart
and nothing else
can make up for the fact
that you are torn apart. 06/10/2006 Author's Note: I just need you to fix this...

Posted by Max Phineas on 06/11/06 at 10:17 PM This is by far one of your best!!! The rhyme scheme is perfectly subtle, the diction is exquisite, and the meaning deep, but clear and well-spoken. I love it! |
Posted by Vere Mantratriad on 06/16/06 at 01:54 AM I love how you've broken the gentle ease with the violent red crayon. I've found myself, far too often, needing one. |
