I Wish You Would

by J. P. Davies

fraudulent memories
lick glowing sighs
finding some breath to exhale

this old photograph
crumpled love letters
burning this ash from my fingers

So just fuck me over
it's all I deserve
what I did was never meant
to be forgiven

and this night
as we burn it down
I'll dedicate every song to you

wake to find myself
alone in your bed
red instead of white
but still the same old song

Venting is good- either negative or positive. Sometimes you just have to get it out- as you did here! Good write!
