"Sleeping Beauty Has Nothing on You"

by Max Phineas

You’re beautiful when you weep
Gorgeous when you smile
I watch you as you sleep.

Wondering how I got here
How I got to be so lucky
I gaze into the mirror.

Your reflection, bathed in sunlight-
I am captivated by your glow
You’ll forever be in my sight.

Sweet woman who rests beside me,
Preserve your innocence in your dreams-
And I will love you eternally.

The kind of tender music only the instrument of love can play.
