where does that leave us now?

by Lisa-Dawn Sparling

I heard about the things you said,

when my back was turned and now they echo in my head.

I would never do anything like that to you,

as a matter of fact when we disagreed I said that I will always love you.

I swallowed my pride and tried to set things right,

now I see you're a different person when you're out of sight.

Where does that leave us now?

We pretend we're ok and we'll forget about it some how?

You forget that I was the ONLY one who had your back,

When I was trying hard to keep it on track.

You should be the one with a mouthful of sorries,

I will not longer be patient, it's different now, no worries.

You will probably never know how I feel beneath the surface,

that's ok with me, I won't give you anymore ammo to be two faced.

Author's Note: NOT A FINISHED PIECE ....I don't like rhyming poems, a lot of the time they sound forced.... this one wrote itself its kind of juvenille but so is the situation.

Lisa, You've expressed feelings I can relate to and it's hard to comment on such personal sadness. In spite of the sorrow, you have expressed them well and to the point. JJ
