Ten Again

by Dave Fitzgerald

I remember having white, knotted-cotton legs
Sticking out of too-short shorts
And when I felt cool before cool started to matter.
When the quality of the game was measured
By how dirty we were.
It was cool to score, but the score didn't matter.

I remember those feelings...
And I see it now in you my son.

This made me smile and brought back memories of youth (both my kids and mine) Short, sweet, saying so much...GREAT!
