Topic: My Closet

by Aaron Michael

things pile up.

try and let it slide
but nothing ever gets clear
before it hitssnagstangles
around a piece of a memory
you couldn't leave to the crows.

try and shed this skin.
strip to sleep and hope
that what you're not talking about
doesn't stain the sheets.
spring's coming soon,
and room is rapidly running out.

try and shut the door now.
i'll turn you away
i've too much to still remember
before i clean myself out
to let you bother me right now.

my closet's stuck on open.
but nothing goes in for the moment.

please find someplace else to dump your crap.

this is cool...I went to the contests forum to look for ideas, and saw that you and Sarah have been offering each other topic suggestions, and wanted to check out one of the products of this writing method...I like what you did with this, internalizing the closet, keeping the reader alert...nice read, happy writing/reading...peace, *jewels*
