he is my secret.

by Emily G Myers

he is brown velvet
and he leaves me inarticulate

he is sand
dry and soft
or wet and dark
but always so warm
and he makes me a child

he is thick drapes
& hardwood floors
brick on brick
wreckless
pillows
on the floor

he is a lit fireplace
he is heat and home
and he is
the most beautiful secret
I'll ever keep

Author's Note: I don't really think this is finished, and I'm not really sure I like it. but Gee liked it and that's good enough for me to post it.

I really like this piece, the imagery feels fresh and is well placed, each within its own stanza...I think the last two lines feel a little abrupt, but a strong poem none the less...glad Gee told you to post it! I loved: "he is heat and home"...happy writing/reading, *jewels*

I think this piece is finished, because if any thing else was added.. it would seem diluted. I really like how you intertwine words here, and make them fit your meaning.. clever, and interesting to read. Great work :)
