The Bye Bye Song by Angela ThomasGoodbye to you, I'll see you soon, it's time to say
goodbye. Goodbye to you, and you, and you. I'll see you
real soon. Good bye, bye, bye, bye. Good bye, bye, bye, bye.
Good bye, bye, bye, bye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
No matter how many times I sing the song, I still don't
understand what the word Goodbye means. Does it mean
that I'll never cross the one-thousand miles to your doorstep
and I'll never bury my head in your chest again? Does it mean
that I'll never wake up on a lazy Sunday morning and bring
you bagels in bed? Does it mean we'll never talk again about
the stars, my silly notions of human de-evolution, and what
it means to be in love in modern society? When I sing the
song at work, we do hip hip hoorays afterward. Is that what
I should do now? Three big hip hip hoorays? Goodbye. 05/07/2006 Author's Note: Song from My Gym Programming.
