Wedding Bliss

by James Zealy

She’s got that wedding bliss
All across her face
Freshly sown happiness
Stiletto heeled ecstatic prance

Bubbly enthusiasm cascades
Uncontrolled and sustained
Positively energized for what’s to come
Eye’s flashing I can’t believe it’s me

I had not the heart to say
That this adrenaline jolt
Will only fade
And expectations would change

For now I hope she rides her fantasy wave
And the soft joyous glimmer in her eyes
Creates a budding memory that forever
Will be hers
