[Insert Your Name Here] by Susan Q Tomas
Upon the realization that I am a compilation of friends,
I've had through out my life.
I thought of who I was at different times.
When I am a party girl, knowledgeable in music -
you can see some Natalie in me.
When I am wearing fashionable clothes, and am graceful,
A bit of Pam is what I am.
When I am edgy and cool, and way beyond hip
some Katrina is what I'm showing ya.
When I am bubbly, and laughing so hard I can't breath,
a goofy Wendy is what you see.
When I am poised like an anchor woman or actress,
the outward friendly is some Emily.
When I don't procrastinate, and get things done,
That's right, Tina is in sight.
When I am feeling sultry, sexy, lascivious,
That's some Quin checking in.
When I am adoring children, appreciating innocence,
It could be, you view some Mindi.
When I am Superwoman, doing it all with humbleness,
I'm making it plain, that is Catherine.
When I'm quick, straight forward, and down to business,
That is my Renee on display.
When I am letting go, and the jokes come rolling,
I will admit, Trisha is on exhibit.
I watch, I see behavior I like, I incorporate
And when traits of people I don't like flair up, I eliminate.

This poem is really only for me. I am the only one who knows all these people and knows what the heck I am talking about. But I do think everyone is a compilation of the people they experience in their lives to some extent. I might be tweaking this at some point. Oh, and the last 2 lines, I HOPE I don't exhibit bad behaviors of other people. I try to only exhibit my own bad behavior, and no more than that.
