A Tear of Hopelessness by Christopher ShinWhat am I?
When a world
in a mind's eye
glimmers without
fruitation.
With dream's imagination
stews and rots in my mind.
When the first layer of
dark green blackens
all that is hope.
What then am I,
when I am a coward
to have a razor's kiss
on soft white skin.
To see the flutter
of crimson scatter
like rose petals.
A hollow empty shell
when grammer and words
mix with past and present
tense of stories never told.
What then am I,
when life does not
become anything but
empty promises.
All that I am and all
that I can say ends
with destructive forces.
All that I am is all
but nothing to anything.
All ambition does
is drive me to insanity.
