love of my life.

by Madeline Pestolesi

The songs we'll play at our wedding
Run through my mind
When Built to Spill conjures a memory
And a sigh
To the day we spent in bed two years ago
Missing class and napping through all obligations but each other.

And in the life I had before
I was nothing without you.

All the drama of immaturity
Has passed us by.
And in one clear, crystalized moment,
I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Author's Note: I love Shane more than I ever thought I could love anyone.
