Making It To The "Top Ten"

It was grand!
When I logged on
I saw it and
I was amazed!
I finally made it
to the "Top Ten"
I was so happy
I almost danced!
But then I went up
to number 9!
I was even happier
I almost cried
When I made it
all the way up
to number 3
I figured someone
was kidding me!
It's number 2
NO WAY!
That is all
I have to say
I wanted to throw
a party- just for me
In wanted people
to tell me
how wonderful I was
But then I went
back down to 10
I knew it wouldn't last
PLEASE SOMEONE...GET ME A PRINTER FAST!
This cannot last....
"What goes up;
must come down"...
and it will
all in good time
...and it did
and guess what
happened next?
I lived! 04/27/2006 Author's Note: My poem was on the "Top Ten" for about a week.
