What I Wish I Could Say

If you could see past
the impatience
and mistakes
you might find
someone who cares
and wants to see
where this might lead
grasping the feeling
that this could be
Everything
but I will not beg
nor will I bother
I just wish I could explain
that if you ask
I will wait until
the timing is right
But will the timing
ever be right for you
Why won't you let me
into your world
locked up, sealed shut
what else can I do
I hate to say it
but I miss you
