She sat there so lovely
Within my view
Delicately sculptured
In beautiful flowing lines.
I would have longed
To make such introductions
Like "Hello. How are you?"
But I am far too shy.
She read a novel
Right there before me
While I sat there, penning a poem.
What I would give just to
Summon the courage to say
"Hello!"
