If we could just give
one word by which to live.
One special word for all to guide
and in our hearts there to abide.
It would be known in all we do
and shown the whole world through.
By every action and kind face
that would light the darkest place.

Love is a word, so simple to say
it is repeated by many each day.
With no action it means not a thing
and can leave in hearts a painful sting.
The power of love, all should know
with our works and deeds must show.
It should be released from our hearts
and fly like the wind to earths far parts.

If we would just show by actions and deeds
that could end all sorrow and needs.
Erase from hearts all sadness and fear
to be filled with only kindness and cheer.
Think how this world would shimmer and glow
if only goodness would flourish and grow.
Oh what a wonderful place it would be
If the power of love was set free.
