Wandering On

by Tracy Ellen

You & I, three years soon gone
Our Love so precious, so strong
And, still, we wander on.

How is it that our Love feels
So like a solid home
And yet too new for such
A foundation so surely sewn?

I stumbled into your life
And you waded into mine
We let the subsequent time
Meld us into one-of-a-kind.

This is not a journey
With a discernable end
But a happy wandering
Between two friends.

For you and I, closer together
Is the only direction
Wandering through the years
Guided by warm affection.

You & I, three years soon gone
Seems not a month or two, not long
And, still, we wander on.
