In Your Arms (updated)

by Christel Crews

Here I am
At your door again
Its been one of those days

I need to find
A haven to escape to
And I want to find it in you

You lift my head
With no words needed
You take me in and I fall to pieces again

*...*
In your arms
I find peace and rest
In your arms
I taste happiness
Nothing else matters
The world has no hold
When I'm in your arms
*...*

There you go
Drawing me in
Take all my pain away

You seem to know
Precisely what I need
All will be right by dawn

A simple glance
Our fingers intertwine
You wrap your arms around mine

*...*
In your arms
I find peace and rest
In your arms
I taste happiness
Nothing else matters
The world has no hold
When I'm in your arms
*...*

I relate with this in several layers:

How I want to be for those whom I love...

How my cherished-love is toward me!
How God has always been toward me
and How I want to be to others, the downtrodden, tired, the - anybody!

Beautiful poem! —Jill
