A Hole In Denim Jeans

by Jersey D Gibson

faded blue worn away
by the long strides of life
walked along a restless road
wanderlust of the unknown.

patchwork pieces tied together
single-thread stitching holds
knees exposed by wear and tear
worn away by long-term use.

hands in pockets torn and frayed
seat of pants pale in color
many washing wearing down
the life of my jeans.
