insomnia by Christel CrewsRestless exhaustion
Half asleep, half awake
Body moving in normal time
While the mind turns in slow motion
Yearning for sleep
Never satisfying its craving
A night without tossing and turning
Seems just out of reach

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 04/04/06 at 03:26 AM Christel, having suffered occasionally from insomnia I know the frustration of it. At least the time was spent productively, because you were able to express your despair beautifully, if it can be described as that. I have found several things which help.

While the mind turns in slow motion" As a mother of three, I know this state all too well. You've definitely turned it into a nice piece of writing.
