Topic: Moving Down Instead Of Up

by Joan Serratelli

Moving down instead of up
the story of my life
just when I think I'm doing good
There comes a monkey wrench
to screw things up and then...
back to square one once again.

I've been down so long
the hole I've dug is too deep
everytime I try to claw my way out
I end up slipping down

The harder I try
The more ground I lose
and once again I'm moving down

And once again I'm moving down, again, and again, and again. You mirror my thoughts so perfectly. I have no answer for myself or for you, but keep writing. The only comfort that's a constant, is knowing that we are not alone.
