You sit there, across from me
Lovely, quiet, aloof and distant.
Yet, I am drawn to you, how can this be?
Our eyes met, if, but for an instant.

I would speak awhile with you,
Briefly exchanging a word.
Just to share a thought or two,
If my thoughts could just be heard.

We would enjoy our lives together
Hearts and souls intertwined.
My heart feels as light as a feather
Of feelings, nothingness, so sublime.
