I guess we just accept, never analyze or ponder,
the sayings we heard as kids,
but now they make me wonder!
"in a pickle", makes no sense,
we can't get in a dill,
we are too dense.
"you got my goat"
not many of us have a goat,
and if we had it stolen..
not a big deal..
"a penny for your thoughts, or putting my two cents in"
not relavant, we'd need at least 10 dollars for those thoughts today!
up shit's creek, shit on a shingle,
to hell in a hand basket,
are a few that come to mind,
you know what?
